David J. STEWART

David J. Stewart, age 65, of Jefferson, WI died on  Tuesday, August 30, 2016  at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family.  David was born on February 20, 1951 in Chippewa Falls, Wi to John and Beverly (Thon) Stewart.  He married his best friend, Peggy L. Frank on June 26, 1971 in Jefferson, WI.

David graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969.  He was a volunteer fireman for the City of Jefferson Fire Department.  He was on the City Council from 2001 to 2007.  He worked at Hydrite Chemical Co., in Cottage Grove, WI as a Logistics Coordinator until his retirement recently.  David loved hunting, fishing and Nascar; especially Matt Kenseth, but most of all he loved his family.

Surviving David are his wife of 45 years, Peggy L. Stewart of Jefferson, WI; his son, John (Mindy) Stewart of Salem, WI;  his grand-dogs, Parker and Cooper; his mother, Beverly Stewart of Jefferson, WI; his sisters, Christine (Randy) Smith and Pamela (Mark) Lenz both of Jefferson, WI, Betsy (Dennis) Fulmer of Delavan, WI, Kathy Brandel of Plano, TX and Linda Stewart of Woolwich, ME, many nieces and nephews. 

Preceding him in death is his father, John.

Funeral Services for David will be 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at St, Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (324 South Sanborn Avenue, Jefferson) with Rev. David Zandt officiating.  Memorial gathering will be held at the church from 9:00AM  until the time of services.
