Delores Audrey (Kovisto) Stewart, age 86, left this earthly life on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Three Pillars Masonic Home in Dousman, WI.  Audrey was born on September 13, 1930 to Mathias and Olga (Maki) Kovisto in Waukegan, IL.

Audrey graduated Antioch High School in California in 1948 as class Valedictorian.  Her speech was entitled “Is Peace A Dream”.  After the passing of Audrey’s first husband, Robert Hersinger, she met Russell Stewart and they were married on September 1, 1956 in Berkley, CA.  They eventually moved the children from CA to the family farm in WI.  Audrey became, and has remained, a member of Highview Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Audrey was the church Treasurer and was involved in many groups within the church: Needles and Hooks, Meals on Wheels and others.  Audrey was a social person; she loved her time with people.  She volunteered at the gift shop at Three Pillars; she enjoyed her card clubs, bowling league and ceramic club.  Her family will always remember her as an exceptional baker, and she will be missed by all that knew her.

The family gratefully thanks Three Pillars of Dousman and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital for her special care.

Funeral services for Audrey will be Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 2:00PM at Highview Evangelical Presbyterian Church (S50 W33042 Town Road GE, Dousman, WI.) with Rev. Stephen Hess officiating.  Burial will follow at Ottawa Cemetery.  Visitation for Audrey will be Sunday from 1:00PM until the time of service at the church.  Memorial contributions in Audrey’s name can be directed to the church or a charity of your choice.
