Dennis Allen Fulmer, age 59 of Delavan, WI passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.  Dennis was born in Columbia, South Carolina to Charles and Jimmie (Hiett) Fulmer on August 19, 1958.  Shortly after birth the family moved to Alaska where he lived until the age of 12 in which the family moved to Alamagordo, New Mexico.  Dennis ended his childhood years in Heflin, Alabama.  He met his wife Betsy in 1977 at Fort Atkinson Hospital as his mother and Betsy’s sister were sharing a room.  Jimmie, Dennis’ mother requested coffee and thought it best they went down to get it together.  Dennis and Betsy were married then on January 15, 1983 in Jefferson, WI.

A note to Dad from the boys:

Though the time together between a father and his 2 sons was cut to short, we were able to have some great times together and are able to always remember them.  Having a father that is willing to allow his son to do the one thing he loves, mow his perfect lawn, is showing how much he loves him.  And when he runs out of gas and yells “DAD”, he came running around the corner like a bat out of hell just to make sure that he was safe and okay.  The amazing times we had together at holidays was awesome, you always made sure that we had the best presents, no matter the price, and that you took the time to make sure they were hid the best so no matter how hard we would look , it would always be a surprise.  You would give the shirt off your back to make sure us, your 2 sons, would have everything that we needed to have the best life in the world.  Saying “I love you” doesn’t express how much you meant to us and how much we meant to you.  But knowing that you are not suffering anymore helps a little bit to get us through the pain of losing you so early in life.  You were an amazing fighter and survivor to be able to last with the pain you had this long and still keep a part of yourself intact.  You loved our mother, your wife, with a fiery passion that words do not explain and we could see that until the end.  That taught us how to love and be with the ones that we love.  Dad, we love and miss you with all of our heart and will until the end of our days.  Please keep us safe and we will always keep you in our hearts and thoughts.  Love, your sons, Ryan J. and Alexander D. Fulmer
