Doris Jean (Place) SCHULTZ-GALLINA

Doris J. (Place) Schultz-Gallina, age 88 of North Prairie found Eternal Peace on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Angels Grace Hospice.  Doris was born on January 26, 1929 to Harry and Sarah (Larson) Place in Davenport, IA.  She married the father of her children, William Schultz, he preceded her in death on  April 15, 1980. 

She then married Phillip Gallina, he too preceded her in death on September 29, 1987. 

Funeral Services for Doris will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00AM at Thelen Funeral Services (W309S4840 Commercial Drive, Genesee, WI—NW corner of Hwy’s 83 and 59) with Rev. Mike Tess officiating.  Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM and again on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service.  Burial will be held at the North Prairie Cemetery.   Memorial contributions in Doris’ name can be directed to the American Heart Association or HAWS( Humane Animal Welfare Society).

Doris was a loving woman that enjoyed her scratch off lottery tickets, her times at the casino, gardening, the birds in her yard, her game shows on tv, camping, baking and horses.  Doris loved life and she loved people.  She loved her time at the Genesee Market working and meeting people and her time at Kay’s Diner catching up with everyone on life things.  Mostly though, Doris loved her family, her kids and her grandkids and great grandkids.  Family meant the world to Doris and she loved spoiling them all. 

Doris will be missed by her loving children:  William “Bill” (Cheryl) Schultz, Linda “Lindy” Brandenburg, Lewis “Doug” (Teri Berg) Schultz, Curt (Kathy) Schultz, Tina (Jake) Roder and Brenda (Rob) Bauer; her grandchildren, William (Julie) Schultz, Jeffrey (Lori) Schultz, Stacy Richardson, Becky (Dave) Woods, Tyler (Jenny)Schultz, Brandi Larimore, Christopher (Michelle)Knoelke and Heather Martin;  her 13 great-grandchildren;  her brother, Clarence Place and sister Marian Reeves; other relatives and many good friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her 2 husbands, her 2 brothers, George “Sunny” and Warren and an infant sister Mary.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Dr.’s and staff at Angels Grace for their loving care and compassion.
