Gail Marie (Doughty) BRAUCH

Gail Marie Brauch, age 73 of North Prairie, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Aurora Summit Hospital with her loving family surrounding her.  Gail was born June 15, 1944 in Waukesha, WI to Vance and Phyllis (Smart) Doughty.  She married the love of her life Raymond William Brauch on October 8, 1966 in Waukesha. 

Gail was first and foremost a loving, giving woman that put her families needs first.  She helped anyone in need.  Gail was an awesome cook, baker, loved her gardening and her flowers.  She enjoyed her time with the family up north and taking family adventures.  She was involved with the North Prairie Fire Department Auxiliary, North Prairie’s Harvest Fest and Cub Scouts.  Gail will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are her husband of 51 years, Raymond; her children, Steven (Dorothy) Brauch, Theresa Brauch and Thomas Brauch; her grandchildren, Shawn, Jamie, Alexandra, Abbigail and Autum; her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Aubrie, Kevin, Kyle, Brayden, Kailey and Adalynn; her siblings, Victoria (Gary) Weaver, Joyce (Wayne) Stevens, Ina (Andy) Prokop, Vance Doughty, Robert (Colleen) Wagner, Dennis (Nancy) Wagner, Donna (Terry) Hogan, David Wagner and Kenneth (Lisa) Wagner, her sister-in-law Jane Doughty; other relatives and many, many good friends.

Preceding Gail in death are her parents, Vance and Phyllis and a brother Thomas Doughty.

Funeral services for Gail will be on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 6:00PM at Thelen Funeral Services (W309 S4840 Commercial Drive, North Prairie—NW corner of Hwy’s 83 and 59).  Visitation will be from 3:00PM until the time of services.  Memorial contributions in Gail’s name can be directed to the family for later distribution and they are greatly appreciated.

The family wishes to say “thank you” to Donna Hogan and the staff at Aurora Summit Hospital ICU unit for their care of Gail.
