Phyllis Ann (Benz) HILDEBRANDT

Phyllis Ann Hildebrandt, age 76 of Wales, WI passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, February 26, 2017.  She was born on May 3, 1940 in Stratford, WI to Nicholas and Veronica (Bornbach) Benz.

She married the love of her life Gayland A. Hildebrandt on April 12, 1958 in Rozeville, WI.  Phyllis was a member of St. Paul’s Parish in Genesee Depot.  Together Phyllis and Gayland raised a loving and cherished family.  Phyllis loved many things: gardening, flowering, photography, woodworking, pottery, painting, crafts of any variety.  But mostly, she loved her family.  She loved her children and her grandchildren.  She will always be remembered by the family as a giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Gayland Hildebrandt of Wales;

her children, Kim (Judy) Hildebrandt of Dousman, Cheryl (Larry) Tischer of Waukesha, Kevin (Joyce) Hildebrandt of Oconomowoc, Terry Berg of Wales, James (Elizabeth) Hildebrandt of Sheboygan, Gina (Jack) Stoner of Dousman, Duncan Hildebrandt of Wales and Angela (Patrick) Nehring of Wautoma; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marion Hensler of Marshfield, Lucy Palecek of Milwaukee, Ruth (Edward) Hencik of Menomonee Falls, Judy (Lee) Tritz of Wisconsin Rapids and Robert (Cecelia) Benz of Mosinee; other relatives and many good friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Nicholas and Veronica Benz; her brothers, Lester and Frank.

Memorial Mass for Phyllis will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, 2017 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (S38 W31602 Wern Way, Waukesha, WI ) at 11:30AM, with Fr. Dan Volkert officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00AM until the time of mass.

Memorial contributions in Phyllis’ name can be directed to the church and are greatly appreciated.
