Barbara Faye (Lincoln) REEDY

March 31, 1934 – July 21, 2018

Barbara F. Reedy, of Mukwonago, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at her residence.  She was 84 years old.  Barbara was born March 31, 1934 in Grinnell, IA., the daughter of Edwin and Ruth (Johnson) Lincoln.  

She was raised in the Grinnell area, graduating from Grinnell High School with the class of 1952. Following graduation Barbara worked as a secretary for 3 years for the Grinnell High School and was the secretary for the Grinnell School Board.  She then went to work for the Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company as an Insurance Underwriter, retiring after 32 years.  Barbara enjoyed her retirement by reading, crocheting, camping and gardening on a small farm outside Grinnell, IA.

Barbara was a life member of the Grinnell Lady Elks Auxiliary serving as the first Lady Elks President.  She was married to Earl LaVern Reedy on April 10, 1955 at the Grinnell Baptist Church. The couple lived in the Grinnell area until 2008, when they moved to Mukwonago, WI., by their daughter. 

Barbara is survived by her son, David (Brenda) Reedy of Ankeny, IA; her daughter, Susan Amero of Mukwonago, WI; her 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Andy) James and Andrew (Melissa) Reedy of Ankeny, IA, Gabe Vestweber, Sarah Vestweber and David Amero of Mukwonago, WI; her 2 great-grandchildren, MacKenzie and Kole James; other relatives and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl and her 2 brothers, Max and Gary Lincoln.

The family is planning a memorial service later this year.
