Beverly Ann (Thon) STEWART

Beverly Ann Stewart, age 86, of Jefferson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

Born the daughter of Hans Peter Thon and Katherine Crowell in Menominee, Wi she learned young the value of hard work, respect for others and how to cook.  She will always be remembered by her family as the life of holiday celebrations with her ability to cook and  bake (cinnamon rolls and bread, along with cookies came immediately to their minds).  She was an excellent crafter.  She could sew, knit, crotchet, she made the girls wedding dresses and the bridesmaids too.  Bev was described as laid back parent that taught the girls how to respect elders and how to “do your best, its all we can ask.”  She was always wondering what she could do for others.   Above all these amazing attributes, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, Aunt, friend and woman of God.  Bev truly did love life but more important to her than that is her love of family.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Bev is survived by her 5 daughters:  Katherine Brandel of Plano, TX, Christine (Randy) Smith of Jefferson, Linda (Eric Lush) Stewart of Woolwich, MA, Elizabeth (Dennis) Fulmer of Delavan and Pamela Lenz of Jefferson; her 13 grandchildren, Dean, B.J., John (Mindy), Shawn (Kristin), Brandy (Timothy), Jerome, Lou, Den (Michelle), Jess (Andrew), Ryan, Alex, Theresa (Chuck) and Melissa (Jason); her 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; her best-friend for over 70 years, Beverly Ludwigson.

Preceding Bev in death are her parents; her husband, John; her son, David; grandsons, Cain and Nicholas; 3 brothers and a sister; 2 sons-in law, Mark Lenz and Bill Brandel.

The family would like to send special thank you’s to Dr. Beck, Dr. Alquinto and staff at Fort Hospital and to her friends and staff at Alden Estates of Jefferson. 

A Celebration of Beverly’s Life will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church of Jefferson, with Rev. David Zandt officiating.   Memorial visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of services at the church. 

Memorial contributions in Bev’s name can be directed to the family and are greatly appreciated.
