Gerald A. "Jerry" KARPINSKI

Gerald A. “Jerry” Karpinski, age 58, of North Prairie, “Broke On Through To The Other Side” with his family by his side on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Jerry was born in Milwaukee, WI to George and Helen (Rucinski) Karpinski on August 19, 1960.  

Jerry was a mechanic for most of his life, and worked at various companies in Waukesha including Ventura Foods, and most recently Generac Power Systems in Eagle.

Jerry loved Classic Rock music (especially Jim Morrison).  He also loved being outdoors and enjoyed spending time on his boat fishing, He was also a collector of Model Cars and enjoyed watching NASCAR Races.

Surviving Jerry are his children, Dylan E. (Lexi Dylla) Karpinski of Johnson Creek and Adria M. (Jose) Cortez of Madison; his mother: Helen of Waukesha, 2 sisters: Karen Heber of Union Grove, AL and Mary (Randy) Carlson of Waukesha and 3 brothers: George, Jr. and Michael, of Waukesha, and James (Julie) of Gresham, OR.

His friend/mother of his children, Cindy Dauer of Delafield, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends further survive him.

His dog and constant companion Ted E. Bear will especially miss him.

His father George Karpinski Sr, brother Joe Karpinski and brother-in-law Dale Heber precede Jerry in death.

A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 1:00PM at Thelen Funeral Services (W309S4840 Commercial Drive, North Prairie, WI—NW corner of Hwy’s 83 and 59).  A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the time of that service.

Memorial contributions in Jerry’s name are asked to be directed to the family for distribution at a later date.

Thelen Funeral Services of North Prairie/Genesee is honored to be assisting the family.

Family has asked that those attending please wear your favorite band/concert t-shirt in Jerry’s honor.
