Ina Jean (Doughty) PROKOP

Ina J. (Doughty) Prokop, age 63, of Big Bend found peace on Friday, May 25, 2018 with her family at her side.  Ina was born April 29, 1955 in Waukesha, WI to Vance and Phyllis (Smart) Doughty. She married Andy Prokop on June 27, 1997 in Las Vegas.

Ina was a giving woman that was a member of Stephens Ministry: counseling those in grief, she was a proud member to Fox River Christian Church, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she loved music concerts, the outdoors, traveling, dancing: especially dancing on the beach and sewing.  She was a flight attendant for United Airlines for over 10 years.  She was the families reunion planner, with many great ideas and the ability to plan all family functions.  She was an animal lover who was always put together, dressed classy, with beauty to spare. She was a spur of the moment woman that would travel across country if there was something she needed or wanted (Maine for lobster as an example).  She was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of 20+ years, Andy; her daughters, Amber (Darren) Leone and Erika Mittelstrass; her grandchildren, Celia Leone and Domanik Maresch; her siblings, Victoria (Gary) Weaver, Joyce (Wayne) Stevens, Vance Doughty, Robert (Colleen) Wagner, Dennis (Nancy) Wagner, Donna (Terry) Hogan, David Wagner and Kenneth (Lisa) Wagner; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Link; sisters-in-law, Jane Doughty, Kim Hagmann and Patti Lewis; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Janet) Prokop and Raymond Brauch; other relatives and many friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Vance and Phyllis, a brother Thomas, a sister Gail and a brother-in-law Spencer.

Funeral Services for Ina will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 6:00PM at Thelen Funeral Services (W309 S4840 Commercial Drive--NW corner of Hwy’s 83 and 59).  Memorial gathering will be from 4:00PM until the time of services. 

Memorial contributions in Ina’s name may be made to the family and are greatly appreciated.
