Judith Margaret (Haag) BRANHAM

Judith Margaret (Haag) Branham, age 72, of Dousman WI, passed away on August 20, 2017, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Judy was born September 22,1944 in Wauwatosa, WI to Lieutenant Howard and Margret Haag. From the very beginning Judy had a gift for sewing and a drive that would push her for the rest of her life. In her teenage years, she contributed to her family by working at Mayfair as a seamstress. It was during this time that she met Gary Richard Branham and they were married on January 26, 1963.

With three little kids at home, Judy's perseverance and motivation allowed her to receive her Bachelors in Accounting from UW-Whitewater, her Certified Public Accounting Accreditation, and complete several graduate courses. Judy worked for several Milwaukee area accounting firms and private sectors.

In her later years, Judy’s passion for birds, gardening, cooking, sewing and reading continued to be some of her greatest comforts. She was always quick to laugh and joke, even if that meant laughing at herself. Her blue eyes, lit up with excitement, is how she will be remembered by those that are left behind. Judy was a woman driven by creative passion and above all else, a desire to have some fun.

Judy is survived by Gary Richard Branham, her devoted husband of 54 years; her sons, Phillip Richard (Michelle) Branham of Milwaukee, WI; Douglas Gary (Jan) Branham of Colorado Springs, CO; her daughter Karla Marie (Jay) Branham of Watertown, WI; seven grandchildren, Kayleigh, Sydney, Lauryn, Madelyn, Stephanie, Evan and Nickolaus; her brothers Dennis Haag, Richard Haag, and Doug (Lani) Haag; and her sister Kathleen (Tim) Poulter.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 2:30 PM at Thelen Funeral Services, North Prairie, Wisconsin, with Chaplain Brandon Parks officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until the time of the service at the FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in the North Prairie Cemetery, North Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to: UW-Whitewater Foundation, Inc.
