Lorelie Mae (Rausch) EGLY

Lorelie Mae (Rausch) Egly, age 61, of Burlington, WI, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019.

Born in Waukesha on August 21, 1958, she was the daughter of Harland and Lucille (Egofske) Rausch . She attended Waterford area schools and eventually graduated High School in Illinois. On October 20, 1979 she was united in marriage to Robert Egly, Sr. Following marriage, they made their home in Pewaukee before moving to New Berlin 25 years ago. Lorelie was a devout Catholic, always living the motto: “others before self”.  She was a caregiver to all.  Lorelie loved Spring; she loved her rummage sales, collecting things and her flower gardens.  She loved old westerns and Hallmark movies.  She was a reading fanatic and dreamed of owning her own bake store some day.  All these things paled in comparison to her love of family.  She loved her family with every fiber of her being.  She loved being Grandma and spoiling the grandbabies.  She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

Lorelie is survived by her children, Robert (Ashley) Egly Jr., Harland (Liz) Egly, Lucy (Rob) Frentz, Gary (Stephanie) Egly, Russell (Lisa) Zieman, and Eva (Mark) Midtbo; her nine grandchildren; and her siblings, Harley (Linda) Rausch, Tom (Susan) Rausch, Bill Rausch, Mary (Sam) Jovanovich, Fred Rausch, Ronnie (Karen) Rausch, Joe (Mary) Rausch, Jerry (Maria) Rausch, Jim (Donna) Rausch, Greg (Nancy) Rausch and Lydia (Glenn) Treganza; other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Carl and Jesse, her husband, her parents and a brother John.

Services for Lorelie will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 12:00 (noon) at St. Joseph Parish (S89 W22650 Milwaukee Avenue, Big Bend, WI) with Fr. Kevin McManaman officiating.  Memorial gathering will be held at the church from 10:00AM until 11:45 AM.  Burial will take place at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Waterford.
