Lyle Leroy LUNDY, Jr.

Lyle Leroy Lundy Jr. entered God’s heavenly kingdom on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the age of 72. Lyle was born on August 28, 1946 in Waukesha, WI to Lyle and Ione (Neff) Lundy, was raised in Pewaukee, and graduated Waukesha High School in 1964. He spent his early years building, and racing fast cars through Waukesha, Milwaukee, Detroit, always doing his best to outrun the authorities. Despite his speed, he still managed to become a regular in Judge Callow’s court! His passion for fast cars stayed with him his whole life, influencing his various careers of, managing a racing team, owning a business in Waukesha (Tire Merchants), being an auto parts salesman, and always a mechanic extraordinaire. Lyle loved spending time with his family, fishing all day long on the boat, or on the ice, exploring parks and trails, lakes and rivers, and enjoying the wildlife, but most importantly he loved to share the good news of Jesus, and his servant heart was evident through his willingness to help anyone in need. 

Lyle will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Wendy (Hutchins), and his five children, Amber (Brian) Stroik, Cullen Bosworth, Britt (Ben) Silva, Derek (Danielle) Lundy, Kerri (Andrew) Kelm, his 13 grandchildren, his mother Ione, and sisters, Jan Solverson, and Marion Lundy-Underhill. Lyle was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Sr.

A celebration of Lyle’s life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Oakwood Church (3041 Oakwood Road, Hartland, WI). Visitation will be held from 12:30-2p.m., with a memorial service at 2p.m., and a meal for the family to follow at 4p.m. 

Memorial contributions in Lyle’s name may be directed to the family.
