Robert Joseph WEIS

Robert J. Weis, age 66, of Slinger, formerly of Mukwonago passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.  Bob was born April 26, 1951 to Robert Matthew and Marie Anna (Flach) Weis in Milwaukee, WI.  He married Susan Lee Biksadski on May 26, 1973 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. 

Bob worked for 45 years at WE Energies retiring in 2014 as a Computer Instrument Technician Leader.  Bob hosted the Bob Weis Golf Classic for 15 years.  He was president of IBEW Local 2150 for over 20 years.  Bob was a member of the NRA, manager of the company softball team and a Knights of Columbus member.  Bob enjoyed coaching and watching his children's sports, swing, big band, and 50's music, camping, hunting, Indy car and Formula 1 racing, golf, John “The Duke” Wayne movies, history and airplanes.

Bob is survived by his wife of  44 years, Susan Weis of Slinger; his children, Michelle (Brian) Wallace of Naperville, IL, Christine (David) Wladyka of Huntersville, NC, David (Jayme) Weis of Hendersonville, TN and Michael Weis of Mukwonago; his 12 grandchildren, Sean, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Julia, Brynn, Ethan, Ella, Ava, Mason, Caleb, Sawyer and Faith; a brother, William Weis and a sister, Elizabeth Bullock; other relatives and many good friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

The family would like to say thank you to the nurses and staff at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Elongavan and Dr. Yussuf for their care of Bob during the latter part of his life.

Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 4:00PM at St. James Parish (830 E. Veterans Way, Mukwonago) with Fr. Rick Stoffel officiating.  Visitation will from 2:00PM until the time of mass, at the church.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bob’s name and directed to the family for distribution to Bob’s favorite charities at a later date.
