Wayne Douglas “Nip” Roberts, age 76, of Mukwonago passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 9, 2019. Nip was born on March 13, 1942 in West Allis, WI to Wilbert and Helen (Katzuba) Roberts.
Nip served in the US Army stationed in Germany as an MP from 1960 to 1963. After discharge served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and retired after 27 years. Nip was a lifetime member of the NRA and HOG. Nip enjoyed his family and friends and was an avid metal detector when his health allowed. He also loved all his animals and gave to several charities on their behalf.
Nip is survived by his loving wife Carol of 24 years: his children, Lisa (Mohit) Sharma of Greendale and Dean (Kathy) Roberts of East Troy; his step children, Casey Huebner of Mukwonago and Charles (Samantha) Huebner of North Prairie; his grand children Denver and Logan Roberts of East Troy; his brother Earl (Jan) Roberts of West Allis and sister Sandy (Chuck) Krzyzanowski of Linden Hurst, IL; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including his four legged friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Wilbert and Helen; his brothers, Glen and William and a sister Nancy.
Services for Nip will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 9:00AM at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI. Military honors to follow.
