Carol A. (Butler) SICKELS

Carol A. (Butler) Sickels, age 77, of Genesee Depot, WI passed away with her loving family at her side on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.  Carol was born on July 13, 1942 to Harry and Dorothy (Weimer) Butler in Waukesha, WI.  She married the love of her life Earl C. “Dick” Sickels on June 27, 1964 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Carol will forever be remembered for her loving, caring and giving nature.  She was a camping fanatic.  She loved the outdoors, the lakes, the snowmobiling time she got to spend with family and friends.  She and Dick spent many a summer chasing baseball games.  She loved to dance, but mostly, she loved her family and the friends she and Dick have made over the years.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Earl “Dick” Sickels; her children, Pam (William) Whitstone and Jeff (Kathy) Sickels; her grandchildren, Katie, JJ, Tyler and Amber; her 2 brothers, Tom (Betsy) Butler and Jim Butler; her sister-in-law, Diane Sickels; other relatives and many, many friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents and a brother-in-law, Orman “Bump” Sickels.

Due to Covid19 and social distancing, Carol's memorial celebration will be postponed....the new date and time will be listed as soon as the all clear comes.  Thank you......

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Carol will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at Thelen Funeral Services (W309S4840 Commercial Drive, North Prairie, WI—NW corner of Hwy’s 83 and 59).

Memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or Friends of WI State Parks.
