David James KRATOCHVIL

David J. Kratochvil, age 63, of North Prairie died with his family at his side on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his residence.  David was born on October 13, 1955 in Racine, WI to Richard and Laverne (Dallman) Kratochvil.  He married Nancy L. Hartman on November 22, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV.

David served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam.  He loved traveling, boating, riding his motorcycle, looking at and purchasing antiques with Nancy.  David was a huge Green 

Bay Packers fan, he was a Chicago Cubs fan and he enjoyed their trips together to Las Vegas.  David worked for Snap On Tools and Sanmina, Corp. as an electrical engineer.  David loved most of all his family and the time he got to spend with them all.  He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife of almost 25 years, Nancy; his step-son, Aaron (Stephanie Pauls) Lohman; his grandchildren; his sisters, Donna Sadlon, Sherry Warden and Lesa (Kane) Patt; his father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Marlene Hartman; his brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Debbie) Hartman; his sisters-in-law, Kelly Vinge and Marie Paszkiewicz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Richard and Laverne; his sisters, Sue Kratochvil and Sandy Prochniak; his brother, Timothy Kratochvil; brothers-in-law, Dave Prochniak and Dennis Sadlon and sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones-Spittlemeister.

Funeral services for David will be Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 6:00PM at Thelen Funeral Services (W309S4840 Commercial Drive, North Prairie—NW corner of Hwy’s 83 and 59).  Memorial visitation will be from 3:00PM until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made in David’s name and directed to the family for later distribution.
