Delores B. (Meier) GEYER

Delores B. (Meier) Geyer, age 95, of Waukesha passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc.  Delores was born on September 25, 1924 to Paul and Matilda (Henry) Meier in West Allis, WI.   

Delores was well known by many people in her community and cared for every person she met throughout her life. She enjoyed nature and being outdoors. Fishing and mowing grass were her favorite activities. Friday fish-fries were one of her most favorite meals, other than family gatherings for Thanksgiving or Christmas. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends by playing cards. Delores loved passing time by puzzling, watching game shows, and watching birds through her windows. Up until her last weeks, she would always play along with the Wheel of Fortune game show and always knew the answer to the puzzles. In her earlier days, Delores enjoyed trips to Door County to visit with family.

She was survived by her daughters, Barbara (Richard) Krause and Joy (Larry) Meyers; her grandchildren, Andrea (William) Wood, Robert and Thomas Krause, Christopher and Paige Meyers; her great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jason Wood; other relatives and many friends. 

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Glen married 60 years, and her sister Carol Nordseth. 

We would like to thank Angels Grace Hospice, and Home Instead for Senior Care, for their outstanding efforts in keeping Delores comfortable during her last few weeks. 

The service for Delores will be private to immediate family members only and the burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
