James Thomas Memmel, age 72 of Genesee passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Jim was born on September 9, 1951 in Milwaukee to Alfred and Doris (Heth) Memmel.
Jim was a loving father and always bragging about his children and grandchildren to anyone who would listen (and even if they didn’t). He was a cherished friend, and lovingly known as “Uncle Mononoply” to his neighbor’s grandchildren. He dedicated over 35 years of his life to serving a protecting his community as a respected police officer to the Village of Pewaukee. He was an intelligent man, and it seemed there was no challenge he couldn’t conquer or problem he couldn’t solve. His quick wit and sense of humor endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of those he encountered.
He was a multifaceted individual who approached life with enthusiasm. Whether is was fixing things around his house, his children’s houses, his neighbor’s houses, pursuing hobbies, or sharing laughs with loved ones, he embraced every moment with a zest that inspired those around him.
His memory will be cherished by family, friends, and a community that benefitted greatly from his presence.
