Kenneth John ROBERTS

Kenneth John Roberts, age 83, of North Prairie, WI left this world and joined his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 2, 2019 after a short illness. Ken was born on November 6, 1935 to John Robert and Florence Ida (Radeuge) Roberts in Waukesha, WI. He married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Gagan on November 30, 1957 in Hartland, WI. Shirley preceded Ken in death on May 12, 2016.

Ken was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Prairie. Ken served in the US Army from 1954 to 1962. Ken was a long time member of the North Prairie Fire Department serving as a fire fighter and later as an Assistant Chief. Ken served as a municipal Judge for the Village of North Prairie for 8 years. Ken was a Waukesha County Sheriff Deputy and drove school bus for Dousman Transport for many years. He worked for 40+ years at Golden Guernsey Dairy retiring as a cooler supervisor. Ken enjoyed camping, gardening and baseball, which he played into his 50’s. He was a passionate fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Survivors include his loving and devoted daughters, Kim (Darin) Brewer of DePere, WI, Kelly (Dennis) Allston of Waldorf, MD, Kari Roberts of Waukesha, WI and Kris (Joseph) Vetter of Hartland, WI; his 10 grandchildren, Nicholas (Trisha) Knors, Jeremy (Charlotte) Knors, Adam Brewer, Bryn Allston, Benjamin Allston, MacKenzie Vetter, Richard (Robyn) Vetter, Melissa (Brad) Torkelson, Brian Vetter and Andrew (Courtney Gudel) Vetter; 4 great-grandchildren, Connor and Anna Knors, Abel Vetter and Avery Torkelson; a sister, Sheran (Peter) Booth; a brother, Lee (Sue) Roberts; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceding him are his parents, his wife and a sister-in-law and her husband, Jean (John) Hilger.

Funeral services for Ken will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 6:00PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church (312 North Main Street, North Prairie, WI) with Rev. Dan Torkelson officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00PM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in the North Prairie Cemetery next to his wife.

Memorial contributions in Ken’s name are asked to be directed to either the American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation and are greatly appreciated.
