Kenneth SMART Obituary

Kenneth Alan Smart, age 84, of North Prairie, WI passed away with his loving wife at his side on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Angels Grace Hospice, Oconomowoc. Ken was born November 13, 1935 in Waukesha, WI to Orley Eugene and Hattie Mae (Morris) Smart.

Ken married the love of his life and horse loving friend Joan M. Schandl on October 24, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI. Ken was a cowboy in his day. He loved horses, rodeos, roping, and sharing all these things with his loving wife and best friend made them all the more sweet.

Ken is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan of North Prairie; his son, Steven (Cheryl) Smart of Rapid City, SD; his step-grandson, Gavin; other relatives and a host of friends.

Preceding Ken are his parents, his brother Donald and a sister Janette Horn.

Per Ken’s request, there will be no formal funeral services. His remains will be buried in Genesee Cemetery.
