Roger A. SCHMITZ

Roger A. Schmitz, age 83 of Mukwonago passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Accent Hospice/Lutheran Home, Wauwatosa.  Roger was born on March 4, 1940 in Milwaukee to Joseph and Ann Schmitz.

Roger was a dirt track modified race car driver and enthusiast.  He was also a member of the Vintage Car Club.  He always owned at least one classic or vintage car.  He also enjoyed playing golf, going to festivals, loved cats, and having the time of his life on casino runs across the state.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline “Maddie” “Lynn”; his son, Bill (Kelly); his grandsons, Brett and Aaron; his brothers, Joseph Schmitz and John Zivko; his sister, Joanne Richard; his brother-in-law, Alan Wojcik and sister-in-law, Barbara Beecher; also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Preceding Roger in death were his parents, his step-father, John "Boss" Zivko, his sister-in-law Myra and his brother-in-law David.

No formal services are planned at this time.
