Ronald MILLER Obituary

Ronald A. Miller, age 80 of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 9, 2023 with his wife Judy by his side.  Ron was born on April 24, 1943 in West Allis, WI to Bernard and Marie (Weber) Miller.

Ron graduated from West Allis Central High School. After graduating high school Ron served in the Army National Guard from 1961 to 1969. He then went on to complete an electrical apprenticeship and became a Master Electrician. He worked as a commercial and industrial electrician for over 45 years.  After being together for 15 years, Ron married his wife, Judith (Judy) Kroening on January 31, 2003 in North Fort Meyers, Florida. They worked together in the family electrical business for many years before retiring.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed water skiing and boating on the lake and snow skiing.  Ron was a history buff and enjoyed traveling to National Parks. He always took time for his family and was an amazing teacher, whether it was how to change the oil in your car, changing a light fixture or building a house. He enjoyed hunting on the “farm” with his friend Jim, attending family barbeques and watching TV with his cat Toby.

His great bear hugs will be sorely missed.

Ron is survived by his wife, Judith (Judy); his children, Brent (Elizabeth) Miller, Garret (Sherri) Miller, Dana (Ty) Toriello, Deanna (Jim) Gilbertson, Jody (Scott) Strutz and Erin (Ken) Gastrau; his grandchildren, Amanda (Cole) Gude, Lauren Miller, Michaela Leach, Julia Miller, Jacob Leach, Carolyn Miller, Abigail Gastrau, Joshua Gastrau, Lorenzo Toriello, Braden Strutz and Carter Strutz; 1 great-grandchild; nieces, nephews (especially his niece, Charlene Vacho) and many other family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his 5 siblings.

Those wishing to send a memorial expression of sympathy are asked to direct those to the Gary Sinise or the Tunnels to Towers Foundations

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to the ProHealth Care Pewaukee Cancer Center doctors, nurses, APN’s and staff; as well as the amazing doctors, nurses and staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital ICU who cared for him with dignity and grace.
