Shawn Marie Smith, age 53 of Whitewater, WI passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Shawn was born on July 28, 1968 in Watertown, WI to Virgil and Patricia (Blank) Budde.

Shawn was a dog trainer by profession. She was a member of the Basenji Club of SE Wisconsin and the Basenji Club of America.

Survivors include her sons, Jesse and Josh Smith; her parents, Virgil and Patricia (Blank) Budde; her siblings, Jerry Salb and Bob Budde; her life partner, Todd Thayer; other relatives and many good friends.

A Life Celebration for Shawn will be held at a later date, location to be determined as well.
