Licensed Funeral Director/Owner
I was born and raised in Central Minnesota. I began my career in Funeral Services in 1999, serving my apprenticeship at Molten Bell Funeral Home in South Milwaukee and Schmidt-Bartlet Funeral Home in Wauwatosa. After graduating from MATC-Fuenral Services Program I began working as an independent funeral service provider helping all local area funeral homes with services that they required.
My family and I have lived in North Prairie now for over 8 years. We talked with many local families and decided that the community surrounding us needed a funeral home that would provide them with the highest quality services at a fair price, including our price match guarantee (we will meet or beat any other local funeral home providing the exact same services).
We also listened to the community and the trends in funeral service and installed the only on-site crematory in the south-western portion of Waukesha County and north-eastern edge of Jefferson County.
We are small town oriented and are here for the families we serve. My philosophy has always been to help families thru their darkest of days. I believe that the families job is to grieve and the reason you chose our funeral home is to handle the details of making your loved one's life celebration special.
I have added to the services provided my abilities as a Certified Grief Counselor, Certified Crematory Operator and Licensed Insurance Intermediary.
I am available for families 24/7/365. I am literally, just a phone call away.
So, please give me a call and let me show you how we can make your life celebration special and all about you. It is your life, you lived it your way...let us help you make the last celebration just a special and just a personal.
Licensed Funeral Apprentice/Licensed Insurance Intermediary/funeral Luncheon Supervisor
Micki is one of Tim and Kris' children. She studied 2 years at Carroll University, Waukesha, WI before deciding to carry on the family legacy at the funeral home and is currently enrolled at MATC to complete the required courses and become the next generation funeral director at Thelen Funeral Services. She holds a very important role in our funeral homes luncheon space. She coordinates the luncheon details the day of services, she helps make sure that the food is well presented and available for families, she makes the luncheon run smoothly, while also being a Licensed Funeral Apprentice, handling daily activities like transfers from place of death to the funeral home, handling office paperwork, funeral arrangement planning (basically, learning everything she can to become your next generation Life Celebration Specialist) and a Licensed Insurance Agent able to assist families with their pre-planning and pre-funding needs. Micki is a huge asset to the team at Thelen Funeral Services and you will most likely see her on funerals, at events or just around the funeral home in the years to come.
Grief Therapy Services
Here is Ari, a valued member of the Thelen Funeral Services staff. Arianna, "Ari", is our grief therapy dog. She is here to assist in making your very difficult day just a little easier. She is an English Bulldog. She is still in training (and always will be....she loves the attention), but she is a lover and wants to simply help in any way she can. Stop on in and see her and just say hi. She really does love the attention.
Funeral Assistant/Office Assistant
Pat has joined our Funeral Home family and is assisting with the weekly workings of the home and assists on funerals, both with visitations/funerals and with luncheons. Pat is a valued member to the staff and always enjoys helping our families with whatever they need. She also has a good ear to listen. Currently she is working towards becoming a Certified Funeral Celebrant so she can help families that do not otherwise have a ceremony leader/clergy person. When your next in the area, stop on in and see Pat, see the facility or just stop and say "hi".
