Dave was a great guy and his words and expressions still stick with me today. He was my chemistry teacher, my track coach, and friend and will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to you and your family.

"Life like a mist appears for just a day, then disappears tomorrow. All that we are can quickly fade away, replaced with tears and sorrow. If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made:
He will call; The dead will answer.
They shall live at His Command. For He will have a longing
For the work of His Own Hand.
So have faith and do not wonder, for our God can make us stand.
And we shall live forever as the work of His Own Hand."

Mr. Magner was my track coach throughout my high school years. Almost every time i returned home to Jefferson, i would run into him somewhere. He would always want to have a conversation about my military career and my family. Mr. Magner was a great man, a great coach, and a great mentor. My prayers and sincere condolences go out to the Magner family.

Although I never had the pleasure of having him as a teacher, I heard many good stories. He was always one to greet everyone with a smile and say hi. My condolences to all his family and friends. You will be missed by many Mr. M.

Mr. Magner was a huge inspiration to me as my teacher at JHS. I would not be where I am today (I have a Ph.D. in chemistry) without him. What an enormous loss.
