To all of the Medina Family I would like to offer my sincerest condolences during this difficult time. I know that Joe will be dearly missed since he has touched the lives of so many people in his lifetime. I hope you will find comfort while reflecting on cherished memories and times shared with Joe. No matter how oftend we experience the passing of someone we never get use to it because our Heavenly Father never created us to die. We appreciate his remedy at Revelation 21:4 to totally eradicate death permanently and erase the tears caused by the overwhelming emotional pain and grief associated with loosing a dear loved one in death. Our Heavenly Father has also promised a grand day when our loved ones will be Resurrected on a paradise earth. We are comfronted by the words of his own son Jesus who stated " all those in the memorial tomb will hear his vioce and come out "What a wonderful reunion that will be when we can experience the joy that was shared by the family and friends of Lazarus. I hope you will find comfort in God's promises for the future.

August 17, 2016 4:20 PM

Our family was distraught to hear that Father Joe had passed away. As the articles said, he truly was a beautiful soul. We had just noted that it was only one year since he gave the touching and heartfelt benediction at my Investiture. The news, although not completely unexpected, was all the same devastating. Truly, we are all heartbroken. Our consolation is that we were blessed to know Father Joe and to call him “friend.” Our deepest and most sincere sympathies to Yolanda, Amanda, and the rest of the family. You are in our thoughts and our prayers.

May all the memories of Father Joe add brilliance to every achievement in your lives. May they cast a divine light over the family and remain with you always.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Yolanda and the family of Joe Medina. There are never words enough to say that will ever ease the grief of loosing a loved one, but may you find comfort in God's grace and in the many family members and friends that are praying for you at this time.
In God's love we never have to say good bye, rather good night. As we look forward to the dawning of the new day when all the redeemed shall forever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4 13-18.

Yolanda and Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was a true leader, servant, friend and follower of Jesus. His life touched mine and my WHOLE (extended) family's lives. Joe was the first person to greet us at a very large church and made us feel so welcomed. He officiated at two sibling's weddings (out of state), led Bible studies, invited us to be part of festivities and scolded us when we deserved it---but always with a tender and loving heart. He was always so genuine and gave everything he had to serve and love others! He has made such an impact on my life and for that I am forever grateful. I will miss his smile! What a blessing he was to all who knew him.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the honor of serving in the Marine Corps with Joe in the early 80's. It had been just about 30 years since we last spoke to each other. Luckily, I was able to speak with him for a few minutes last month. Even through all of the medical issues he was dealing with, he seemed more concerned about how my life was going. That's the Joe I remember.... Rest well my friend, you will be missed by many, but Heaven has gained another Marine to serve as our Guardian Angel. (I hope He sends you down to watch over me!) I am heartbroken with the fact that you no longer walk the earth, but rejoice in the glory that you are watching over us all now. Semper Fi Devil Dog!

Dearest Yolanda, family, and friends, there are no words at this moment that can ease the pain. Just please know that Joe was one of the most amazing servants of God I have ever known. I was so homesick for Wisconsin when I moved to San Antonio I almost came back. Joe made a point of calling me last year when he visited SA. He came to my job and prayed with me and gave me a bit of home all the way in Texas. I can't be there to say goodbye, but know I am sending you so much Love to Wisconsin from me. I love you Yolanda and you are in my prayers.

Our condolences to the Medina family.
RevJam was the first person to welcome us to Fox River Christian Church along with Yolanda years ago. He was always interested what was happening in our lives, even after he left FRCC we would bump into him and Yolanda somewhere and always remembered our names asking how we were.
Reverend Joe was a key piece to our finding God in our lives.
He will be missed.
