Whenever I think about Mr K, I always remember what an amazing person, teacher, and principal he was. I have one memory of being called into the office and an angry staff member was there suggesting they charge me money, call my parents, give me detention etc. I thought I was gonna get in big trouble, but Mr K just proceeded to ask me about my sick family member and express sympathy. I think about that a lot, and it just means more to me the older I get. He was such a genuinely nice person who cared about his students. He was also a great civics teacher! Sending love to Mr K's family

Bob K will be greatly missed by our family and the Badger/Lake Geneva community. Each member of our family was blessed to have him in our lives. Such a caring, compassionate, honest man, who cared so very much for the students at Badger. As he rests in peace in God's loving hands, may your family have peace as well.

Every day is a gift. I'm so very sorry Bob didn't have more. Bob used all the gifts, talents, passions, time & resources God gave him to follow his calling - to make the world a better place...and to make opportunities for those around him to reach their full potential. He made every day count. Even in days of pure fun, he was building relationships; building people up. A janitor at BHS told me about the fun he had with Bob & other teachers fishing in Canada. What other principal does that? Bob had a rich life. He spoke so lovingly of his children, whom he so desperately wanted to be able to attend BHS. I'm so glad to see that his son was able to attend for Bob's last year as Principal! Bob spoke so respectfully and lovingly about his wife whom he said had this incredibly loving, patient, sacrificial heart. I served on the Parent-Teacher Advisory Board while my daughter attended BHS. He said his primary objective was to make every single day of high school the very best that it could be for each & every student; especially for those students who were struggling. My daughter was one of them, when she was struggling to meet the demands of a heavy load of classwork & extracurriculars & community service. He thought of & offered options & solutions to try to ease her stress, & the stress of others struggling. Bob pooled together our Board's ideas & would take them to the Board if needed for approval. He shared our ideas with the teachers. He shared our ideas with students. I never met a principal who so much wanted to help the students in a much deeper way than just getting good grades. He once said he wished he could take home every single student who was abused or having family problems so they could know they had a safe place where they'd be loved. What a loving, servant heart; like the heart of Jesus. Bob will always be among the most inspirational, kind, helpful, thoughtful, hard-working, dedicated, down-to-earth people I have ever had the distinct pleasure of working with and knowing. My heart just breaks for your family, & for all those who knew & cared for him. This world will never be the same without you, Bob.

Mr. Kopydlowski was an amazing man and principal. He had a kind heart and was always willing to lend me a hand when I was unsure of which way to turn in my early highschool years. I don't know if I would have discovered who I am or my passions in life without his help and guidance. So, as a writer, my first publishing will be dedicated to such a strong, wonderful human being. It was an honor. Rest in Peace, Bob Kopydlowski.

Bob was an amazing role model for all. He will truly be missed but not forgotten as he will live in our hearts forever. The Wall of Success program was built with his steady input throughout each school year to help make it what is has become. His energy was felt the minute he would enter a room. All would work out just fine.
We also got to work together in teaching even though we were at different schools. He taught me his love for social studies/English and passion for golf. May you golf in heaven and tickets for the Wisconsin PGA are coming your way, Bob, in spirit. I am sure you will be there....Golf away, my friend...You have left an imprint in my heart...Blessings to your family...

Bob was a great friend, administrator, teacher and role model for the students and staff at Badger. He was a great husband and father to Diane, Lauren and Tyler. Bob and Diane served as a great inspiration to Angie and me as they proceeded through the adoption process and all the hurdles they encountered. I will truly miss working with Bob - his companionship, good nature, and quick wit - and will cherish the bond we had.

Dear Diane and family,
I was sad to hear about your loss. Bob was a 1983 Slinger classmate of mine and he was a very special person. .. kind, caring, respectful and had a great sense of humor.
I lost my husband at the end of April to GBM, brain cancer. Although our journies are different, I am sure this battle was hard to part of. Watching your loved one fight hard to beat this disease, keeping a positive attitude and having steady strength through all the difficult times. May God 's light lead you and love lift you as you try to find a way to mend your broken heart. God bless all of you and may Bob be at peace in God's arms.

Bob Kopydlowski will surely be missed. He was the principle at one of the greatest schools in Wisconsin. It is great from the man that made it that way.
He has given the power to make many a child soar way above and beyond
because he never lost faith of how high they could fly.
Mr. Kopydlowski has reached the highest goal one could reach in life. That is to live forever in the hearts and memories of all he has touched.

I met Bob his first year at Badger as we were beginning the Alternative High School. In all these years, I have never heard one student ever utter a negative comment about him as a teacher or principal. He treated every student fairly and with compassion. He believed in the potential of every one, and they knew it. Students from all of our five referring school districts benefited from his devotion to our program. Thank you, Bob, for the gift of your presence in our lives.

Beyond that, he was a great human being who touched and cared for his own family, his Badger family and all he knew. He truly made all who knew him better people. Rest in peace, Bob.
