Funerals have been around for a long time, they often provide the family with a closure they very much need and desire, celebrating spiritually with their loved one. This service is typically held in a funeral home, church, cemetery chapel or other meaningful location to the family. A funeral service typically consists of hymns, scripture readings, and prayers. For many, a funeral provides closure after a loved one's passing and is a great way to honor that loved one's life.
A visitation, also known as a viewing, is held before a funeral, often the night before or the day of. This is a time for people to pay their respects to the deceased and the family.
